Medical disclaimer
Version 1.0 · 27 July 2026
We are not a healthcare provider and this is not medical advice.
Corazón Colombia is a travel and logistics company. We do not practise medicine, do not employ clinicians in a clinical capacity, do not diagnose, do not treat, do not prescribe, and do not give medical advice of any kind. Nothing on this website is medical advice, and nothing on it should be used to decide whether to have a procedure.
This document needs a Colombian lawyer before launch.
This is an honest, carefully written draft based on how the business is described here. It has not been reviewed by counsel, and the medical-travel area carries real regulatory exposure in Colombia (INVIMA, Ministerio de Salud), in the United States (FDA and FTC reach advertising directed at US consumers even from abroad), in the UK (ASA/CAP, MHRA), the EU, Canada and Australia (the TGA is notably aggressive here). Have this reviewed by a Colombian abogado, and by counsel in your main source markets, before publishing a medical-travel offer.
1.What we actually do
We coordinate the travel and logistics around medical care. Specifically:
- Introducing you to independently licensed Colombian providers.
- Helping you get records to a provider, and their questions back to you.
- Scheduling, translation, transport, accommodation and recovery stays.
- Practical planning: altitude, fitness to fly, timing, companion travel.
- Making sure an aftercare plan exists in writing before you travel.
2.What we never do
- Recommend a treatment, or tell you a treatment is right for you.
- Assess your suitability for a procedure. Only a licensed clinician does that.
- Promise, predict or imply a clinical outcome.
- Claim any therapy cures, treats, reverses, repairs or regenerates anything.
- Override, second-guess or interpret the advice of your own doctor.
- Supply, store, handle or administer any medicine or biological product.
3.Who is responsible for your care
Clinical care is delivered by independent Colombian providers who are separately licensed and regulated, who make their own clinical decisions, and who are responsible for those decisions and for their own staff, premises and equipment. They are not our employees, agents or partners in any legal sense. We do not accept liability for clinical care, clinical outcomes, or any act or omission of a provider.
Before you commit to anything, you can and should verify a provider independently. Colombia publishes a national register of health professionals (ReTHUS) and a register of authorised health service providers (REPS). We will give you the exact names and registration details of any provider we introduce you to, so that you can check them yourself.
4.Unproven and investigational therapies
Some services described as regenerative, cell-based, exosome-based, peptide-based or longevity medicine are not approved by regulators for the uses they are often marketed for, and in many cases the published evidence is early, limited to laboratory or animal work, or absent altogether. Availability in one country does not mean a therapy is proven, and a clinic being licensed to operate does not mean a specific therapy it offers is proven.
If you are considering anything in this category, you should understand that: it may not work; it may carry risks that are not yet well characterised; your own doctor at home may disagree with it and may decline to manage complications arising from it; and your insurance is unlikely to cover either the treatment or its complications.
We will not present these therapies as proven, will not name diseases they might “help with”, and will not show you testimonials implying outcomes. If you have found a company that does, treat that as a warning about the company.
5.We may decline to help
We will not coordinate care where we believe it is unsafe, where a provider has not assessed you first, where you are seeking a therapy on the basis of a claim we consider misleading, or where the plan has no credible aftercare. We would rather lose the booking. If a licensed physician tells you that you are not a suitable candidate, that ends it — we will not find you a second opinion that says yes.
6.Travel, altitude, flying and diving
Bogotá sits at 2,640 m (8,660 ft). Altitude affects oxygenation, recovery, wound healing and cardiac and pulmonary conditions. Air travel after surgery carries risk, including venous thromboembolism, and the safe interval depends on the procedure. Diving must not be combined with flying inside 18 to 24 hours, and should not be combined with recent surgery at all. These are matters for your treating clinician, not for us — but we will always plan around what they tell you.
7.Insurance, complications and recourse
Standard travel insurance generally excludes elective treatment abroad and its complications. You must arrange appropriate cover, and you should understand what it does and does not include before you travel.
Your legal recourse if something goes wrong will be governed by Colombian law and pursued in Colombia, and it may differ substantially — in remedy, in procedure and in time limits — from what you would expect at home. Understand this before you travel, not afterwards.
8.Emergencies
This website is not for medical emergencies. If you are experiencing one, contact local emergency services immediately — 123 in Colombia.
9.Your data
Health information you share with us is sensitive personal data and is handled under stricter rules than anything else we hold. See Privacy. Please do not send clinical records through the website booking form; we will give you a secure channel.

The medical travel pages describe what we coordinate and the screening every enquiry goes through. This disclaimer forms part of the booking terms for any medical-travel booking.
