Entry to the water is over sharp volcanic rock and ladders — reef shoes are strongly advised. Do not jump from the platforms without checking depth and conditions with staff first; swell changes both.
Two natural swimming spots cut into the island’s western volcanic shelf, where the reef comes right to the rocks and the fish are used to being fed bread by everybody who turns up.
