Providencia is reached from San Andrés by a 20-minute flight on a small aircraft or a 3–4 hour catamaran that is frequently rough and cancelled in swell. The island was severely damaged by Hurricane Iota in November 2020 and rebuilding is ongoing — services are more limited than on San Andrés and medical facilities are minimal. Confirm current flight and catamaran operations with us before booking anything around it.
Providencia is what San Andrés was fifty years ago — 5,000 people, no high-rises, and the best water in the archipelago. A boat day around the island and its sister Santa Catalina.
