Johnny Cay
A coral islet of coconut palms and blinding white sand fifteen minutes offshore, ringed by water in three separate shades of turquoise. It is the postcard, it is busy, and it is still worth it.

$20–$50

Diving · San Andrés
DO NOT FLY FOR AT LEAST 12 HOURS after a single no-decompression dive, and 18 hours after multiple dives (DAN guidance). We schedule diving early in your stay so this never conflicts with your flight home. A medical questionnaire is required; asthma, heart conditions, recent surgery, pregnancy and some medications may rule out diving, and the instructor’s decision is final.
Your first ever breath underwater, on the third-largest barrier reef in the world. Pool skills first, then one supervised open-water dive to around twelve metres with an instructor beside you throughout.
One instructor to one diver, a private boat, and photographs taken throughout by a second diver.
